We will answer any questions that you have about the process and we will not, at this initial stage, share information about your situation with your current provider, handling your enquiry professionally and with confidentiality.

Ready to make the transition to fostering with Team Fostering?

Are you currently a foster carer with another fostering agency or provider in the North East, Yorkshire or East Midlands but not getting the support or facilities you need for the children in your care?

Transferring to Team Fostering could change all that. Whether you currently have children placed with you or not, we provide a smooth transfer process which always has the best interests of you and any children with you in mind.

This begins with a completely confidential phone call where we can answer all your questions through to a slim-lined assessment process built on your existing Form F.

Carers who’ve transferred to Team Fostering tell us how much better the support is as well as praising our family feel, the warm welcome they got as new carers and the huge range of activities, experiences and events we offer.

Not for Profit

We are an ethical, not-for-profit agency with no shareholders, which means that all surplus funds are reinvested into the services offered to foster carers, children and young people.

We offer an extremely high level of support, including our new psychological support service and our highly praised Education and Support Service.

Expert Training Opportunities

We provide extensive and well-organised training opportunities that are available at Team Fostering, presented by both expert internal staff and with external specialists.

Transferring with a Child in Placement

Our whole team is here to make sure the transition is as smooth as possible, both for you and any children you might currently be looking after.

If you have children with you, we’ll do our absolute best to ensure they transfer to Team Fostering with you, working closely with their social worker and the Local Authority.

Children and young people see the benefits of transferring to Team Fostering just as much as our foster carers – gaining access to fantastic one-to-one educational support, a huge range of activities which boost their confidence and help them make friends, life skills, an annual holiday and two memorial funds which support them with life changing experiences and planning for future life beyond care.

The Transfer Process

The process of transferring to Team Fostering is slightly different than joining us as a new carer. After we’ve received your application the assessment process will build on your existing Form F and usually takes around 16 weeks but can sometimes be quicker.
